Wednesday Window ~ Musée du Louvre, Aile Denon

If you take a closer look, you'll find paintings within the medallions adorning the outdoor archways of the south-facing windows on the lower lever of the Aile Denon. They seem to glow in the golden light of a winter afternoon.

    Relatively recent refurbishment, I think. Does seem fairly labor intensive to keep exterior paint like this in good condition.
